Note: We're currently getting embassies finished on our end, but your end pretty much works. We'll be adding more, but it currently works as far as we can test. In the meantime, however, please drop us a message over IRC upon request of your embassy, as we have no means to check right now.

We've set up our very own embassy system, noting the problems with the current approach that most alliances use - That of a custom forum. Forum software doesn't allow a user to customise a forum they moderate, there's no public information panel, and the permissions can't be tuned by the forum moderators. We've changed all that, revamped the idea of embassies, and brought to you something that you'd actually want to have.

Rules (brief)
Embassies are your sovereign territory. Within reason, you may do essentially anything there, so long as you do not use it as a means to host illegal content or an abusive flag (We'll give a degree of leeway, however). Comments are owned by whoever posted them, and it's up to you to moderate them. If you request our help, we'll do our best, but these embassies are, as they say, your party.

Guide to your embassy
(Note: We've made the embassy as self-explanatory as possible, it is not required to read this, but you may want to consult it if you are stuck)

To make an embassy, just visit the embassy request page and fill in the two fields. You'll be regarded as the leader of that embassy until such time as we find a suitable way to allow alliance leaders to claim ownership of an embassy (Right now, you may ask us, and we'll make the necessary corrections).

Once you've made your embassy, you'll need to wait. We'll likely contact you over IRC or over e-mail when your embassy has been activated. The embassy will look like http://www.arloria.net/embassy/LXXQTJMN - Our demo embassy. Your alliance abbreviation will be the access method, and will be case sensitive. There's no way to change it once created besides asking, and you will require a reason. We're reasonable, though. :)

On the front page you can see the designated embassy leader and their rank (You will receive senior diplomat, please inform us if you are the leader of your alliance over IRC and we'll make the correction, in order to prevent potential abuse. You may be asked for proof prior to the correction being made), diplomats will be shown on the right-hand side, which is the default level of addition. At this time, there's no way to reduce someone to "member" level, but we aim to have this fixed within the next 24 hours.

Charter
You may put your alliance charter here. You will need to update your charter when changed, which you may do from the members section. Senior diplomats and above will also find a link to change their charter on the main page. You may use BBCode here.

Settings
You may use this to alter the basic settings of your embassy, which we may add to at a later date, likely based on feature request. Setting an embassy to "Private" will restrict viewing of the shoutbox, proposals and treaties to those who have been added to the embassy member list, you are unable to turn your embassy "off", nor change it from the off setting on this menu, but you are able to see that it is set if you have senior diplomat access.

Access list
You may use this page to add users to your embassy. They will need to have registered accounts, as the site uses that account to check that they have access to your embassy. The account also gives access to our forums, however, so how could you possibly go wrong with making one? ;)

Note: There is currently no way to delete or promote someone, we will amend this.

Flag
You may upload a flag here, we've been liberal on the maximum size, but use the flag size that you think works best. If you have issues uploading your flag, please let us know.

Proposals
If you wish to propose a treaty with LXXQTJMN, or if we have a proposal to you, you will be able to use these pages. Eventually, we will add the ability to revise proposals and add comments, but we wanted to get this out to you as soon as we felt was feasible. You may set a clearence level for your proposals, though the "public" setting will not override setting your embassy to "Private". This is intentional.

Treaties
This page will show all proposals that have passed review on both sides, though currently non-functional, we'll have this up by the time any proposals take effect.
