PNG avatars
TheDoctor

The site allows you to upload a PNG avatar, but it then converts it to JPEG while still reporting it as PNG in the Content-Type. This is confusing to browsers.
Heh, you beat me to it.
Going to leave this message to remind myself that there's a remaining bug concerning changes in avatar format, something I'll leave to another day though as it's quite trivial.

By the way:
<blockquote>Unrecognised image Please report usage of this image or error so the beta may be improved</blockquote>
I don't know if this really matters, but it told me to report it, so I am. I suppose you might not see this message unless you take advantage of your adminvision. Normal users apparently can't detect new messages without manually loading every thread page.

I casteth teh magicks that maketh teh peoples fall down!
Alright. I've spent a little while trying to solve this one.
The end result is not that animated GIFs work, but the name does appear for them now. That's certainly a start.
The problem doesn't really seem to be mine, I can't find any way to animate them (As strange as it sounds), if there's anyone who has a solution to animating PHP images through GD then they're welcome to contact me. Though it could almost be regarded as a feature since they're animating in the user's profile but not in the main forum topic ;)

Is there a reason avatars are PHP/GD whatnot instead of.. oh, an image? I mean besides being different and cool or whatnot.
